UNA Tanzania aims to bring people closer to the United Nations activities.
We also want to reach people in remote areas of Tanzania. We have established branches in Mwanza, Kagera, Mara, Dodoma, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro.
Why UNA Tanzania branches?
- To cover wider geographical area.
- Inform and engage more people, in various geographical locations, about the UN and other international issues.
- Improve networking.
- Increase membership base and participatory mechanisms within the organisation.
Branch activities will include:
- Raising awareness on UN activities and understanding of the MDGs.
- School based activities, working closely with learning institutions through the UN Club programs; raise awareness of UN issues and other international issues.
- Engage local community to be aware on UN issues.
- Organise meetings /workshops/conferences about the UN activities.
- Empower and educate people on UN issues.
