On 24th October 2011, The United Nations in Tanzania along with Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry and UNA Tanzania commemorated the UN Day in a colourful flag raising ceremony conducted at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds, Dar es Salaam. Campaign Against Stigma

On Wednesday the 8th of June, 2011 United Nation Association participated in a march to support and launch the UN Plus anti stigma campaign under the theme “STIGMA FUELS Speaking at the launching ceremony held at the UN Dar as Salaam Apeadu Hall. United Nations Association of Tanzania collaboration with the South Africa High Commission will commemorate the 2011 International Day of Nelson Mandela on Sunday, 17th July at the Pediatric Oncology Ward at Muhimbili National Hospital.   The commemoration will include spending time with the Children living with cancer admitted at the ward and give them hope. The activities for the day includes cleaning around the ward and thereafter there will be some games with the 35 children living with cancer and have a fun moment with them to cheer them up.
